Rural wireless coming to Waotu, Arapuni, Pukeatua and Wharepapa South

Work is now underway to construct a new RBI2 broadband tower on a hill off Waotu Road that has great views into the Waotu, Arapuni, Pukeatua and Wharepapa South areas.

Once the tower build is complete, the local community will have much improved mobile coverage (4G with 2degrees, Spark and Vodafone) and high-speed wireless broadband with unlimited data from Full Flavour.

Full Flavour's rural wireless requires line-of-sight to the new tower, so if there are obstacles in the way such as hills, trees or perhaps other buildings, you can talk with us about setting up a pole-mounted antenna or an extra repeater on your property. Alternatively, we can offer you for a special deal* on 4G Rural Broadband.

Rural wireless requires us to install an antenna (smaller than a Sky dish) on your roof. We expect to commence installs later in August on a first-in, first-served basis.

Mobile coverage improvements with all three mobile network operators will happen soon and automatically, though to make calls your phone will need to be VoLTE compatible and have VoLTE enabled (VoLTE stands for Voice over LTE/4G).
