Faster Speeds and Wi-Fi Calling for Horohoro and Ātiamuri

We are excited to announce that Full Flavour has recently upgraded one of our solar rural broadband repeater sites on Nicholson Road. The upgrade means that our customers in Horohoro and Atiamuri can now enjoy faster internet speeds.

The Nicholson Road repeater site is an important part of our rural broadband network, providing vital connectivity to the rural communities of Horohoro and Atiamuri. However, we understand that living in a rural area can come with its own set of challenges when it comes to staying connected. That's why we are constantly working to improve our network and provide our customers with the best possible service.

The upgrade of the Nicholson Road repeater site is just one example of our commitment to providing high-quality broadband to rural areas. The new equipment installed at the site will allow for faster internet speeds, which will make it easier for our customers to stream video, work remotely and stay connected to loved ones.

Although mobile coverage in these communities is poor, we would like to remind our customers that they can use the wifi-calling feature on their phone when connected to our service in order to make calls and send/receive text messages. This feature is particularly useful in areas where mobile coverage is poor or non-existent, as it allows users to stay connected even when they don't have a strong cellular signal.

To use Wi-Fi calling, you'll need a modern smartphone that supports the feature and to turn it on in your settings. Once connected to Wi-Fi, the phone will automatically switch to using Wi-Fi for calls and texts instead of the cellular network. The calls and texts will be routed through the internet, which allows them to bypass the cellular network and reach the intended recipient.
